I'm flying out to Washington D.C. tonight. I'm going to be there for a week, which is cool and I'm excited to see all the sights, but there is a twist, I'm going as a chaparone(sp) for my moms 8th grade class and I hate kids, especially pre-pubesance little brats. So I'm hoping you guys might be able to point me in the direction of some over 21 fun in the area, that way I can get away from them for a little while. If anyone wants, let me know where to go, or pm me and maybe we can meet up, it would be cool to meet some people from this board and maybe cause a little trouble.

Definitely come out tomorrow night. It looks there will be a decent representation of DC BFc at the bar.

Just wanted to say I made it back home and thanks for the invites. I'm bummed it was too much of a pain to meet up. The company my mom uses for the school trip put us out in a hotel near the airport which made for a good 45 minute trip into the city, the homewood hotel, or something like that. Also, being a tourist I did want to see the sights, that and I couldn't up and leave the group at any point. Maybe next time, I've already seen the sights and I doubt they're going to change, so I'll be more apt to go party then see the same memorials. By the way, the WW2 memorial was a awesome sight.

WWII is badass, it's pretty intense if you stand there and think about it all.

Hey man, is Chico anywhere near LA? All of my relatives live over in LA, like near Anaheim and Long Beach and whatnot.

Chico not chino, you probably heard about the frat hazing death back in november, I think, it was all over the news, and no it is no where near L.A. we're about an hour and a half north of Sacramento. I grew up here so my perception of the city is so-so, but it isn't that bad of a place to live, college town and plenty of fun if partying is your idea of fun. Other than that, there isn't much else aside from hiking and mountain biking. It's too bad I don't have the means to fly out there just to meet you guys and check out the local fun, but like I said, next time.
Yeah the WW2 memorial is cool, it sure hit a heart string, especially this part.

*If you can't read the words it says, "Here we mark the price of freedom".*
One of the kids in our group, dad, came along and he is a Vietnam vet, when we went to the Vietnam memorial I nearly cried just watching him react to finding the names of his buddies that died there. The wall itself was something else, but seeing him completly awestruck at the memorial was definately an experience. I couldn't even imagine the things he must have felt finding his buddies up there. He told me later that he lost 37 guys out of his 100 person company!
