there's alot of buzz about it on the vwvortex board.
I put my name down for one, mainly cause I can upload the data and make my dino-charts. how cool is that?!

Sorry to add more to an old thread...but how well does this thing work? I've heard that the G-Tech is inaccurate because the accelerometer method itself is inaccurate, but that's only secondhand hearsay.

you've got to see if first hand to believe it. these suckers are really close to the real thing and in most cases are dead-on-accurate.
most people who claim they aren't all that usually can't buy the fact that for under $300 they can really "see" how well a machine can perform.
again, find somebody with a g-tech and they'll tell you it works great. just make sure that you calibrate the machine first, or it will NOT be accurate.

Why does the chart say that there is no lateral acceleration measurement? While its not built in, it can be measured for skid pad usage by turning the unit sideways. This surely isn't as good as having it measure it internally in normal mode but I hate seeing vendors misstate other products.
The #1 usage for these lower cost, not cheap, units is to verify changes. It's not all that important that they are dead on in the quarter mile, just that's it's reapeatable and linear so that when you change something, you can compare it to the baseline.
