I was just at my local BMW Dealership and I noticed they had a bunch of flyers for a car show on Saturday July, 9th. I thought it looked pretty cool and decided to post it on here in hopes of getting a couple more people to come out to it. The show is called the Deutche Classic.
The "Deutsche Classic is the mid-Atlantic’s premier all German Automotive event, including vintage, classic and late model Audi, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Porsche and Volkswagen as well as the unique “orphan” cars. A special show area will be dedicated to DKW, Durnier, Heinkel, Messerschmitt, NSU, Wartburg and other orphans." The show is being held in the lancaster/Reading PA Area at Shearer's BBQ ranch. The pre-registration cost is $20 to enter the show and $15 admission. This price includes a BBQ chicken dinner, baked potato, corn-on-the-cobb and coleslaw.

I'm home on leave and it's the only event happening so far. (Wife doesn't want me driving out to the Pittsburgh Vintage Gran Prix :devillook )

Howdy.... I'm hanging in there. July is the halfway point on the deployment with only :rolleyes 9 months to go. Kosovo hasn't been too bad but the Winter sucked and trying to fly down from Germany in January was rough.
I'll be home for 14 days in July. Kim and I have to go shopping for a new SUV to replace her 97 Exploder. I've been pushing AWD wagons but she refuses and must have the big truck scene. I'll have to lurk on the "Balmer" regional site to see if anything else is going on while I'm home.

I may be up for a cruise out there. What part of pittsburgh are you from. I'm in Murrysville. That would be a fun drive.

It is the Reading, PA exit off the PA Turnpike. (Also the big Adamstown antique touristo exit) You would exit the tolls, drive about one mile to second light and turn right towards Reading (North 222?) and it would be about 3-5 miles on the left. (I'm going from memory and I haven't been home since last Sept)
I think more like 4 hours from PBH area.. depending on speed

IF you go Friday night, I would recommend checking out the Stoudts Brewing Company and Stoudtburg Village. The village was built to replicate a small German village and is actually condo's and shop space for the adjacent giant antique mall they have.
Stoudts Brewery has numerous beirfests in the summer and is open every weekend... xlnt brews:
