I've poked through the Proper auto care and Autogeek sites looking at the Porter Cable buffer. Is the urethane flexible backing plate better than the regular velcro plate the coastal kit comes with? i haven't been down to my local lowes, but if they have it and i can get it for a good price should I order the flexible plate? Proper auto care carries both types of plates and autogeek carries just the flexible model.

also, w/ the 6" buffer should i get the 6.5" or 7.5" pads from autogeek? i'm thinking 6.5" and just not being a moron and putting it on edge.

fwiw i plan on ordering the following productsfrom autogeek:
mothers clay bar kit
3m fi2
klasse aio
s100

I have the flexible backplate and it seems to be more versatile. I'd stick with the 6.5 inch pads because they're closer to the weight of the counterbalance in the PC.
As for your stuff from Autogeek, it looks good. Many people add a few layers of Klasse SG (sealant glaze) after the AIO and before the S100. The SG adds a huge shine and really long protection. The S100 adds a depth and richness to the SG shine but being a natural product, can't offer the same long term protection that the SG does. If you decide to try the SG, read the threads about how to remove it properly. Don't use the removal instructions on the bottle.
Post a few pics when the detailing is done.
