hey,

i just ordered a pc 7424 as well as 4 orange pads and 4 white pads. do i need the dual-action flexible backing plate so i can attach these pads to the buffer?

as it stands now, there is now way the pads can screw into the pc.

sorry for the noob question. i've used a dual cyclo head buffer my entire detailing life and this is my first pc.

Yes, you need a backing plate. If you ordered the 6.5 inch pads than you will need to get a 5 inch backing plate.

yeah, i was a little confused. i guess i didn't read the whole description through and through. it's like i got the pads and the buffer but didn't know how the pads stuck to the buffer. haahaha
