I have been thinking hard on software for my '05 M3. I live in Caly so we only get 91 AKI. I read many threads and many people are SuperChip or Powerchip fans while Shark gets not so many good reviews. But both Powerchip and Shark claim about 6 HP gain for 91 gas so I am thinking that for the $$$ Shark is the better value. I know it improves the overall drivability of the car and the 6 HP will not be noticable on the butt dyno but I was wondering how those with Shark installed feel about it. I have Shark on my 325 and am very happy with it. Thanks.
Shark Pros
1. Cheaper alternative to others (PC, SC, AA, Kelleners)
2. Convienence to install/uninstall
3. Jim Conforti Legacy
Shark Cons
1. ????

How about custom tuning? Quite a bit more money but better over all... :dunno What are your plans for the car?

I have it and like it. Hard to say what it does for power as I have so many other changes can't isolate just one. That said the thing that is very noticable is the smoothing of throttle response, ie drivability is much improved (I have the 93 octane, O2 sensor delete version). The other great feature is the injector, very easy install and removal. Plus if a dealer ever downloads software you can put the shark back in with no hassle.
