What kind of nozzles do you guys use? Steve530 06-05-2005, 09:06 PM I've never used a coiled garden hose, so I can't comment. I'd have the same concern as you have. I can just see myself chasing the hose back to the faucet as it recoils. I've been thinking of buying a nice, heavy duty hose because the hose I have tends to kink and this drives me crazy. I use a "fire-hose" nozzle that I bought from PepBoys. I understand that Walmart has them for about $5. It is adjustable from a strong stream to a soft spray. Probably not as good as the $50 nozzles that Griot sells, but pretty good for $5. It does not have any cut-off and will not close off water flow completely. I plan to buy a small cutoff for the hose end, too. hal9000 06-06-2005, 12:35 AM Don't like either those or coiled air hoses. They have a nasty habit of snapping back and scraping things. I'm currently using a flat hose, but will probally go back to the normal poly hose when I'm sick of this one. Just make sure to pull the hose past the area you're trying to rinse so that it's not going to rub against any painted surfaces (surface dirt on the hose will scratch your car). Casebrius 06-07-2005, 11:17 PM like previously stated, fire-hose nozzels work great. Get a plastic cutoff for quick disconnection when you want to sheet water off. |
