I come from the Honda world playing with the Dual cam VTEC's and got into road racing. Since then, i found that after owning my Integra R, the biggest Rival I had was the M3 so there was a certain amount of admiration for the car. Little did I know that I would have stepped behind the wheel of an M3.
I first started looking for 328ci's cause it had the forged internals as opposed to cast internals, my budget was more suited for it. Sure enough the money kept counting a little higher every month and I thought the 330ci was more suited for me. Well, a few months back, the checks took a VERY nice little jump and I felt like the M3 was the choice. Coming from my Integra R (9,600 rpm) and my S2000 (9,000rpm), the high revving nature was a must.

I decided on an Alpine white M3 w/ black interior and as some of you know, its pretty hard to find! Most of the ones I found had the dove grey interior or some other colored interior but sure enough, 2 months back, i found her.
She doesn't have a lot of the options that I thought she'd had. I didn't have the HK sound or Nav , but I did have the seat warmers, bi-xenons and the standard 18's. I couldn't wait and dropped a downpayment on it!

She's the latest addition to the family and my welcome ticket to these forums. I hope to learn much about the engine's technical aspects and the car itself. I look forward to meeting and talking some of you.

Nice colour combo! Doesnt Xenon headlights come standard? Or is it different for the states? Dont worry about not having the HK stereo, its very overated and sat-nav isnt overly important! Enjoy the car :)

The Integra R ran CTR pistons' on the bottom end with a Mugen Headgasket. The top end was all JUN stuff. I had the JUN 3 camshafts, type 2 Titanium retainers, valves and dual valvesprings that can sustain 12k rpm. I also had a JUN flywheel (10.6 lbs) and an ACT clutch. The only bolt on I had was the AEM cold air intake with the fat 3 inch pipe. haha. Here's some pics

Nice car. The DVD is nice, but there are better aftermarket units, and the HK is simply horrible.

SMG?

Anyone want to take bets on the number of days before the modding starts? :D

Hahahahahaha, its a 6 speed cause I thought I'd miss the clutch pedal a little too much. hahaha. I played with her on the Skid pad @ summit point to learn the car's response and sure enough, i really had the fight the car! driving the S2000, I really respect that car's tail end nature. The S2000's tail was easier to control when she steps out a little bit cause it needs a little more Throttle than steering to pull it back in place. The M3 took a lot more steering input to step the tail back in and to be frank, scared me a little bit. hahahaha. I think with a little more time on a skid pad, I'd be more comfortable with the back end but i have to admit. everytime i get in the M, she feels like a little puppy wagging its tail, ready to play. Its a shame there can't be more time to spare running her on the track.

The rasp is getting a little annoying. I realized how great the engine sounded with the music turned on to where you can just hear the growl of the engine when you open the throttle. What kind of mods would you guys suggest? As you can see with the Integra R, I wasn't real big on bolt on's but to be honest, the car is my daily driver so i can't rip seats out and slap in a cage since i do take my clients out in the car every now and then. Any good suggestions?
