When I started my 535i the other day there was a rather strong vibration and noise (like perkilating coffee) coming from the engine. Not sure if it has anything to do with the problem, but I noticed a couple of things that were not connected.

Is anything supposed to connect to the part between the hose and white plastic piece?

Is this supposed to be connected to something??
