looks good... what sides are those???

got me some Rieger ones - figured with the 20" wheels it would look good. I don't want to lower the car too much more with the coilovers. The sides will give the body a lower look and hopefully a front lower spoiler if I can find one that doesn't cost $1200!

I thought Rieger was ABS plastic... Looks fiberglass... Thought it was the RD one.

Good choice though... Check out this ride... It's a board members... Similar setup to what you are going for.

ABS Plastic is more durable as it flexes - Fiberglass is more ridged and prone to cracking. The sides are fiberglass as I couldn't find a ABS Plastic one

If you know anyone who has a business license that deals with cars in some way, you can get 20% off at the dealership. I got my for around $1150 complete with all the needed parts this way.

$3 k sounds like a steal if the quality is top notch (which is what it sounds like from your other posts.)

It wont be long before the M5 needs a respray, but no one here in New Mexico that I have seen does quality work.

Keep the pictures coming, and fill us in on the details of the process.

ok ok guys guess the majority has voted - the M badge is gone!

The silver actually matches the gear knob perfectly and looks awesome i wouldn't change it for any other silver.

The exhaust will be a custom true dual exhaust as I am planning on cutting into the spare wheel well. Not sure what setup to use ie: mufflers and resonators. But I found some really trick looking exhaust tips - almost square and big - one for each side - should fill that opening nicely!

aznplayaflavah
06-18-2005, 11:30 PM
You can pick up those single DIN adapters that he has for his headunit at www.bavauto.com only problem with doing that is you lose the trip computer that comes on the car, so the display on your dash wont work for displaying trip/fuel/time

to some its worth it to have a touch screen nav, to others, it's just too ugly...to each their own.

It's made by Trim-Brite, and you can get it at Pep Boys. It is not gloss, however; it's flat.

Also, for a high-end job such as this, it's probably worth it to do the oem stuff. You're almost at the finish line - no need to stall out now.
