I just purchase a new set of angel eyes/hids from xtec they asked me what bulbs i wanted since I dont know cause I never had hids what do you guys recommend?

try to stick to the oem 4300-4600k, anything beyond that will start to cause the light to "bleed" out of the factory cutoff line.

if you dont know what i mean, look at a set of stock hid's lighting against a wall and the light will have a very sharp cutoff line. using bulbs beyond stock color temp will begin to "bleed" past this line causing not only increased eye fatgiue for you as a driver but will potentially blind oncoming drivers.

if you want a slightly bluish tint while maintaining a somewhat factory quality, go with the xenoflo bulbs on www.bimmian.com and try to stay UNDER 6000K.

Ya, anything under 6000k will look nice.. Over that, it's more for looks.

I have had 4300k and 6000k and i have to say I loved the 6000k! Excellent visablity and looks!

I've had the stock ones, 5000k's and now 6000k... I like the 6000k... Looks great!

Has anyone ever had PIAA H1's? I just got the euro ellips from germany, and I'd like to get some nicer bulbs. I was thinking PIAA, but they're really expensive. I've been told that the silverstar by sylvania are almost as good. Does anyone have any experience with either, and what are the results?

After looking at the pics here, I like the 6000k bulbs, but where do you find decent quality ones???
