The left side parking light and tail light both go out after car gets warm. Have swapped out the control box (if that's the proper term) with same result. Very troubling, any advice?

I believe you'll find there are both an operating relay, and a check relay, for those lights. They're in the fuse box. They may be identified in the owner's manual. Either one could be causing the fault. The easy check is to jump the connectors of each one in turn when the fault is present.
