And you will be damn close to mid ohio, bastard (Im talkin like 30 mins max). Speaking of which, driving up today to crew for the SCCA National event this weekend. People should stop up if you are in the area. Also stop by the Turner Motorsport trailer and say hi.

Mid Ohio is in your back yard! :alright Not far from C-bus either. Many people in C-bus (and around the country for that matter) are at Mid-Ohio for various events through out the year.

dude, definately check it out. They have a Grand Am race in August and I may be up there with Turner Motorsport, Ill let you know as it gets closer. I may also go up and help out Will Turner with his T2 car the weekend before the GA race which is an SCCA National race.

Many professional drivers place it on or near the top of their list for favorite tracks.

Check here for the schedule:
http://www.midohio.com/events/

You may want to go during the next Buckeye Chapter drivers schools:
Mid-Ohio August 13-14, 2005
Mid-Ohio October 29-30, 2005

You may be able take (or borrow) a helmet and get a ride on the track with an instructor. :redspot

Make sure you look into Dent Fest and Dyno Day 5 in Columbus. It looks to be set for Sept 10. Understeer.com will be posting information both here and on their site as the event gets closer.

You really are lucky to have a great facility like Mid Ohio in your back yard. It's a bummer that they're losing the Runoffs after this year. The loss of ChampCar and now the Runoffs are a serious blow to the track, but it is partially their own fault.

The GrandAm weekend tends to be a lot of fun, even though the Prototypes are a joke compared to the ALMS. I'm half tempted to find a GAC ride just to go have some fun messing with ferrariboy.

Hey! Mansfield is my home town. Born and bred there. Sorry about your luck, though. There really isn't much to do around there, other than Mid-Ohio, of course.
