Nothing really special about it. I used the bavaudio design as inspiration. I still have to carpet the box and cut out for the wire box and the sub itself. But those things should not take all in all more than a hour and half tops to finish. I also will adjust how much room the subs cone(?) will have for movement.

I used a $24 4x8 3/4" mdf board and still have half the board left. So thus far it has cost me about $12 and 2 hours of labor. I used a belt sander to get the edges perfectly flush. That is why some of the surface looks like it does not match.

Tell me what you think. It's my first time building one.

If it's a sealed enclosure, make sure you line all of the inside seams with liquid nails. Looks good! Car will soon go boooom. The good kind of boom, anyway.

I have liquid nails inside of each seam.

Experiment with different types fiber fill, can change the sound of the box more than you think.

Try none, full, typical house pink panther stuff or white fiber fill etc.

I also found using quick disconnects for sub box and amp made the trunk more useful when it was easy to remove the sub box. I used flush handles cut into the box on the side, some type of molex connector for the amp. Took all of 10 seconds to remove the box.

I would also recommend straps of some sorts to hold the box in place, 20lbs tossing around in panic stops etc can do damage, though not likely in a E36.
