I was considering not going before (wife wants to spend the day together). I think those clouds might swing the decision to no-go for sure... :(

The only thing that will stop an AX around here is snow, severe rain/wind, lots of lightning. If it rains, they will usually hold up the event and wait it out a bit. If it keeps raining hard, they will cancel.

That's what I was thinking but the weather guys say it will rain the better part of the day. I wouldn't mind if it was just wet but it is coming down pretty hard at my house.

The doppler thing looks like the clouds won't pass until 3-5pm. (if they even pass.)

and ditto on the apocalypse statement. :eyecrazy

It just started POURING by my house. I don't think I'm going to race. Maybe just go out there to watch later on...

I just talked to a friend of mine that went by the E Center. He said a few "hard-core" racers are out there. They were setting up cones, so it's still a go, and would only pause for a brief periods if it started raining too hard.

More power to them, but until I get more experience, I'm not risking a slide into one of those light poles...

That really was pretty crazy standing out there on course while you guys (sm) were running. Almost as crazy as driving autocross in standing water. But the afternoon was a good time.

The Ecenter is already slippery as hell. I couldn't imagine how it was with rain.

When I saw the C4 line up line up from my station, I was wondering how he would do having not ever run, let alone walked the course. When I saw the times, I wondered if he had loaned his car out ... but nope ... Chas's first autocross and he rocked it.

Working the morning monsoon several of us ran for our lives over and over as people lost it big. High power + Slicks = spin. The only time being underpowered and on street tires was an advantage.
