Well, Georgia folks, once again, The Nanny Government is going to be stopping people on the mere theoretical presumption that they someday, maybe, possibly, could be, might be Doing Something Wrong. Sooooo, your windows have to be clear enough for any law officer who someday, maybe, possibly, could be, might be walking up to your window can see through them, "just in case." Warning stops are already being made, and ticketing, with fines up to $1000, begins June 1.

Oh, and no matter how carefully you're driving, stops can be made on the basis of tint alone. Never mind probable cause of an actual crime, or anything silly like that. :rolleyes

Drive carefully, Comrades. :confused

Same with Click-It or Ticket.

Think they really give a rat's ass about that. Hell no, it's just a probable cause loophole.

Why don't they just make the law, when you get pulled over, roll your window down and hide the shotgun under the seat. Noooooooo. That would make too much sense.

I just want to know when they are gonna make it illegal to run red lights, or drive around with no tags or no insurance. We could call it the Porsche Foxx law.

Let em stop me. I am exempt from the tint law anyways. I like it when they waste their time writing me a ticket. I wait till they are finished measuring my tint with the meter and writing the ticket out before I bust out my exemption form. They usually say why didn't you show me this earlier? Waste my time and I will waste yours.

You get it from the doctor? My tint is 15%..I havn't been pulled over in the past 3 years for it though...one time when I got caught way over speed and aggresive driving and a few other things among watching tv...the guy added tint on it too but it was dropped and not even talked about in court.

just wondering, but these cars that come with tint (I'm mainly thinking SUVs) are they exempt or is the tint below the legal limit?

just wondering Dean why are you exempt from the tint laws? and how do we get exempt too :)

for what its worth my 95 blazer and most SUV's are tinted only on windows behind the driver (ie not the windsheld or front 2 windows) which i believe was/is the leag way to do it, since you can still see clearly into the drivers seat

now i did look at a 95ish blazer the apperaed to have factory tint on the front two winows aswell so who knows

I am exempt because I got a tint exemption form from the DMV and had my eye Dr. write some BS on there that I needed dark tint for my, "bad eyes." You don't really have to have a Dr. sign and fill out the form. I forged my friend's and my wife's form myself. They don't check at all. My eye Dr. wrote so messy originally, like all Dr's do, that you really couldn't make out what he wrote anyways. The form exempts you from the GA tint law for 5 yrs. I got pulled over about 4 times with it since I had it in 2002.

Like I said earlier I look forward to getting pulled over. Every cop that has pulled me over has never seen or heard of this form, and they all thought it was BS. They usually had to radio it in to confirm, or they had to ask the other cop that was with them to see if it was legit. They usually come back all pissed off after I made them measure the tint and write the ticket out.

OK, so it's the front windows. Makes sense, I'll have my passengers in the back seat carry the guns.

Back to 35% for me. :( I could always go 29 if any shop can do that. That is the lowest legal limit allowed.
