View Full Version : picture locations (downtown)
count_schemula 05-28-2005, 04:53 PM Anyone know any good picture locations downtown?
A lil' short notice, but if anyone wants to hook-up 6:30-7pm to take some pics lemme know. I may be down tommorrow afternoon as well...
I have never taken any good pics since I lowered my car... a long time ago...

Yea, the BP station on North Ave/Spring St. You can get a bum to pose with your car for the price of a Hurricane 40 - talk about a bargain!
You could always pull up in front of a big office building/hotel down there and snap a few pics. Centennial(sp?) Park could be a nice place... GA Tech is pretty much torn up all the time from construction, so not many good spots if you venture more towards midtown. It is right next to the BP station though, so you could hit two spots at once!

It's not Downtown but across the street from the Home Depot Headquarters on 285, there is a motel and their parking lot has one of the most awesome views of all of downtown Atlanta I have ever seen, especially at night.
Check it out

count_schemula 05-28-2005, 06:47 PM On the actual Vinings exit? Same as HD HQ?
It's a hotel, so, I can get in there?
count_schemula 05-28-2005, 06:49 PM I'm beat from prepping the clearcoat and waxing all day.
So, if anyone is up for tommorrow night, lemme know.
Sun is setting around 8:46, so, an hour or two before that is prolly ideal. Get both sunset and maybe some mild dark. I may do a lil' scouting tonight, but I hate driving on holiday weekends, because, I HATE THE MAN.
count_schemula 05-28-2005, 07:37 PM actually, it does not need to be downtown or even have skyscrapers in it... just nice enough locations I guess would suffice... I may even tool up to the mountains tommorrow afternoon...

anytime th smog is lifted
BimmerDawg 05-28-2005, 09:30 PM Hmm...I might be up for this on Monday, Danny. Gimme a call, 404.310.0024 if you wanna try to set something up with The Annster and I.
Doctor Wha 05-28-2005, 10:25 PM I dunno, guys... The Weather-Reading Crinkly Barbie Doll on TV is saying it's going to be stormy pretty much all week, Mon thru Fri. I'm already trying to think of how I can get away with not driving anywhere all week long. :shifty
Shadowelf 05-29-2005, 02:36 AM In front of the Arthur Blank (however he spells it) building by The Forum, or up on the top level of the Forum parking deck with the building in the background. It's right off of the west paces ferry exit of 75 and there's no one around on a Sunday down there.
tdwyatt 05-29-2005, 03:51 PM Lots of kewl locations at the Fernbank Museum for Greko-Roman type pix, and the park has lots of curvy turns with well-landscaped backgrounds for driveby shots, especially nice if you can get your photographer to take a tall folding ladder and shoot from the top rung of 12 feet...
Take the afternoon and drive the park, if you can park the car at your location and chamois it dry, wet pavement looks AWESOME just fter it's rained and reflective, but you gotta work it hard and quick or the pavement in ATL just dries up too quickly.

M3Bill 10-16-2007, 04:24 PM Thanks for the double link, HTML n00b.
It is not a double link, moron. It is a link to my post in the other "picture" thread where I already directed the OP to this thread. Had you been paying attention, you would not have bumped this thread.
Who's the noob now?
:confused
Edit: If, for example, you knew how to read, you would see in the upper right hand corner of my link in this thread that it is a link to a post in the other thread. But that is probably too complicated for your feeble mind.
Boozie D. Clown 10-16-2007, 04:28 PM Bah. You should have come back with a "your momma" joke.

It's still a double link. I would've just said said you directed him to this thread. You suck at moderating.

Exactly.

Settle down, boys. You're both right as far as delgadoduvidoso's concerned.
BimmerDawg 10-16-2007, 05:05 PM You suck at life. And English.
You added that extra "said" after the fact. I didn't double-type that. That's low. :nono

If I had done that, it would say that your post was edited.
:shifty
BimmerDawg 10-16-2007, 05:07 PM Besides, typos are better than double HTMLs any day.

How do I know that's the truth? I don't have access to the editing that you do. I claim conspiracy.
BimmerDawg 10-16-2007, 05:09 PM And I'm very good at life. Ask my wife.

Your claim is denied.

This thread is two years old and it was brought back to life to prove a point...e.g., that people should try the search function.
