I am in the UK for a month and can search around for some detail supplies. What specifically is she looking for - wax? tire gel? vinyl spray?

Tesco has the very basic things. I will keep my eyes open.

there's a couple of guys on there who work for companies selling meguiars stuf and proper commercial stuff as well

Halfords sells some Meguiars stuff, like clay and QD.
Also sells loads of waxes and polishes, but I don't think it sells the kinda High end waxes like Zaino.
