I've heard it's pretty expensive. I researched it, and if I can remember correctly, it was at least double the price as most tint shops.

Maybe they've changed their prices at this point.

I was quoted 400 for 5 windows. Driver/Pas/side's/rear.

My point exactly. I paid $160 out the door for a four door car just 3 weeks ago. I couldn't justify $240 more for the Huper Optik tint.

Well, for my E30 (probably easier to tint) the guy said it would be $250.

Next Tuesday. :D

I also noticed the E30 has no dot matrix, so perhaps that is part of it.
I'm going to go Ceramic 40 I think (42%), and I have a black interior so it should give the classy but somewhat private look.
Furthermore, the guy even comes to my house (they do house films as well, and I guess the Huper Optik takes a little longer than normal tints to put on).

It's the same tint that they put on fast food joint windows that lasts a very long time.

Folks,

There is only one authorized Huper Optic Installer yet in GA. The dealers name is Solar Eclipse.

Whats special about Huper is that its ceramics (less electrostatic interference [sp?]), secondly thicker film than other films and lastly, blocks out more light heat and bad UV rays than any other film out there. It blocks out more than 1/3 more they claim to say and I've done a lot of research about 4 hours on them and i've heard nothing bad about them.

Okay, the bad part, very exclusive and extremely new to the automotive market...to get this done for your car would run you about $450 (I have a sedan e46, I can only imagine how much they would charge for an X5 or something)

If you do decide to get it, Solar Eclipse is the one and only dealer in GA at the moment. They are located right across the Mall of GA (too damn far from me). The two owners of that shop are Todd Smith and Dan Schear. Cool and extremely friendly guys. If still interested, their number is 770-614-1750.

Good luck and hope this was helpful,
Thanks,

i can take pics next week, i'll post them here. the tint definitely made a difference in heat. i feel like my a/c is a lot more efficient. i'd say that my 32% ceramic works just as good as 20% regular film that i had on a previous car, but 32% is legal here.
