Just wondering, because when I run in an SCCA autox, I run in B Stock. I compete with 350Zs, rx8, e36 m3s etc. You are competing against Vetts, e46 m3s, evo8s and STIs.
Do they class different in your area?

the SCCA website says Z4 is in AS

you pretty much shift one time at the start 1st to 2nd and stay in second all the way trough
no need for shifting 2nds gears plenty
