I am going down to Florida on Memorial Day weekend. Is there anyone willing to let me borrow their V1 so I can test it out? I am very interested in purchasing one in the near future, I would just like to know how it reacts and so on. I promise to take extremely good care of it and if anything goes wrong, I will buy you a new one in exchange for the old one. Any takers?

I have a Passport 8500 I'd let you borrow, but not my V1...I'll be needing it.

Let me know. I let Karl borrow it a couple of months ago and he enjoyed it. I only use it when I travel and rent a car.

The 8500 X50 actually got better scores in detection ability on KA and maybe K too. The ONLY thing the V1 has on the Escort is the arrows. That's it. I don't really think that's worth the extra 100 dollars you have to pay for it. I love my X50!

The directional arrows AND bogie counter are almost priceless.

Rob's thought is good... try before you buy. Maybe borrow one of each? :p

No offense, but why would I want to spend $500 there, compared to the $400 from Valentine1?

The Escort has a kind "boggy counter" it displays multiple boggeys of the same band of radar as well as multiple boggeys of different bands at the same time as well.

thats a good point. i wasnt looking at the individual pieces.....i was looking at the 360 degree stealth page. i shouldnve been clearer. they do offer a lot of good suggestions on, for the most part, how to be invisible.
