View Full Version : So sick of UUC's supply problems
E36DJ 05-23-2005, 09:48 AM This time it's really going to screw me over. My car's going to be in the shop getting vandalism stuff repaired and insurance gave me $500 for a new spoiler, I wanted the UUC CF spoiler REALLY bad but as usual, they are fresh out. The car's going straight to a huge car show that's on the day of my 21st bday and I (had) no doubt that it would have at least placed.
It seems to me that if you're selling out of products, you'd be able to take some of the money and expand your production ability a little bit. If every other company can do it, why can't UUC? Every time I've even CONTEMPLATED buying a product from UUC I simply shy away because I know that in the end it's not going to be worth all the trouble.
If I'm shelling out the $$$$ for a quality product, why should I have to wait for it?
Does anyone have any ideas for me? Any places that might have some kind of supply left, maybe just 1? Anyone that decided not to use theirs? Kinda freaking out. :(
tkavan01 05-23-2005, 10:58 AM broadcast a WTB: UCC CARBON... on every e36 m3 forum, i'm sure that someone in the dark reaches of the internet might have one in their garage...
also most of their stuff is probably built in asia, and they have to wait for it to get shipped over, well they aren't gonna ship a container with like 5 wings, they are gonna wait and fill that sucker up, and that might take awhile...
vjlax18 05-23-2005, 01:08 PM Back to your other threads about this and the fact that you don't have the money for new rear tires, I'd stop waiting my time with stupid posts like this any buy new tires since your rear are bald and you only have 4-5k left on the front. How about not trying to give business advice to a well known business when you can't even get your head out of your ass enough to buy yourself new tires before buying a stupid wing for your car. Do something responsible for your safety and the safety of others on the road. :rolleyes
95RogueM3 05-23-2005, 01:18 PM The CF wings on EBAY for the e36 are the exact same spoilers as sold by UUC. Same manufacturer, same clamping style...just cheaper.

How about you don't drag my business from other threads into a forum and thread where it's completely off topic? Or maybe you could simply mind your own business alltogether, seeing as how your post couldn't be less constructive to this topic.
Have you seen my car? Do you know how "unsafe" it is? Have you driven it? No..no, no? OK then, please shut up.
I have INSURANCE MONEY for a new rear spoiler, and I intend to buy a new rear spoiler. Seems fairly simple to me.
Guess what, I already have parents.. I don't come to bimmerforums for parental advice on what you think is "responsible for my safety and the people around me." You think you know everything about everyone's situation, you actually know nothing.
I also don't see any point in replying to this, we've gone over how OT 99% of your post was, as far as UUC goes, I'm not really offering any business advice that takes a PHD to figure out. If you want to sell a product, you need to have a product to sell. Stop kissing UUC's ass and admit that there's a problem.

///MDex 05-23-2005, 03:28 PM Not sure why you post if you can’t take the replies in stride.
IMO, why cross-post and complain about something you have no control over [UUC inventory], when you can try a WTB ad for a resolution instead?
vjlax18 05-23-2005, 03:45 PM Ok, now for the longer reply since I have a job and work to make money to afford things.

So your post is being constructive? So this post is really helping UUC out? Yeah, I guess Rob really wants to announce a product and not be able to sell it and make a profit on it. That's the greatest business plan EVA!!!!
Have you seen my car? Do you know how "unsafe" it is? Have you driven it? No..no, no? OK then, please shut up.
I don't need to see your car to realize what a moron you can be. It's common sense that if you need new tires (the only thing between your car and the ground) then you should find a way to buy them. Well gee, I think I (and may others) found a way for you to buy new SAFE tires for your car. How about buying a STOCK wing if needed, and spend the rest on tires. I don't really think the insurance company would mind since they're the ones going to pay for your car once it's wrapped around a tree or in the back of a soccer mom.

See above.

Your parents should beat the shit out of you...

Yep, Rob's my hero and I really want to kiss his ass. Your thread trashing UUC is not needed. Again, I'm sure Rob wants to advertise something he can't sell and make money on. Making money's overrated. :rolleyes

So, going by your logic, people can post whatever they want to in any thread no matter how unrelated or stupid it is? I started this thread for a reason - look what section it's in.. I think it's a perfectly legic topic that needs to be dealt with. As much as I'd like the whole "it comes from China" excuse - no other vendors have the type of supply problems that UUC is well known for. It's not an unusual thing, it happens all the time regarding all their products.

maybe they have one in stock
Thanks, I sent them an email this morning and haven't heard back - they also don't have a number posted. :rolleyes

Once again, going off on stuff you know absolutely nothing about. I actually got hired TODAY at BMW of Fairfax where my car is being worked on, that would be my second job FYI (the other is at the UNIVERSITY where I was taking classes till LAST WEEK which doesn't give me much time to work.. but you didn't know that because you'd rather talk out of your ass about how I don't have a job.)

So we're just supposed to sit here while some people shell out sometimes thousands of dollars at a time and get the runn around from UUC saying "oh.. yeah, should be here soon, oh, yeah.. next week. Oh, actually we should be getting a shipment any time now."
Some people like to see what they are paying for less than a month later, but maybe I'm weird.
The point of this post was really more of a question, how is it that other companies don't have the same endless supply problems that UUC has? If it's a one time thing I understand, but it's obvious that it's a lot more than that - someone is doing something wrong, or could be changing/expanding things.

For the tenth time, I AM GETTING NEW TIRES. Once again, talking out of your ass about a situation you know nothing about.
Buying a stock wing from a reputable company might give me $100 left over. Insurance gave me money to replace the stock spoiler that is currently on my car, so it's not like I have a ton of money left over. Last time I checked, the tires I bought for the rear of my car cost $220+ a piece so.. thanks for the "solution" but it's not really going to work.
And also, for the tenth time, stop acting like I'm going to be flying through little back roads in the pouring rain with my bald tires. AGAIN, it's my car, I know the state of it and what's safe or not, I'm also perfectly capable of feeling what my car's doing and preventing myself from wrapping it around a tree. Hydroplaning isn't the kind of thing that should sneak up on someone.
Your parents should beat the shit out of you...
Creative.. :rolleyes

I'm sorry if you feel that my thread is trashing UUC. Last time I checked, nothing I said was false or a lie in any way. It is needed because they think their current way of business is fine. Most of the time, UUC takes your money THEN gives you the run around on delivery time, so it's not like they make 10 times the income when they have stuff in stock. Also I don't see inventory indicators on their website, the only thing I see is "click here to buy now" in bold blue letters, I could do what most people would.. click that button, and get a call from UUC tomorrow with the bad news.
Robstah 05-23-2005, 05:13 PM I am still waiting for the UUC underdrives to come back in stock. :(
E36DJ 05-23-2005, 05:20 PM For what it's worth, the thread more than served its purpose and I'm getting a new one for $180 less from Germanwerkz.

My bad - couldn't find anything like that on their website. I doubt they can beat ~$320 so I think I'm set for now. Hopefully it gets here in time.
