I've debating which size tire to get in terms of much performance they will give me comapred to one another. Taking into consideration they're both the same tires just different sizes, I wanted to know if the difference in sidewall height will out perform the width difference or vice versa. I'll be running both auto-x and on track. Thanks

why are these your only choices?

245/35/18 would be ideal

The tire you're thinking of is out of production for the year (in 245/35/18).

Plus the Hankook.

The preferred tire is out of production.

a 10mm difference in width or a 4mm difference in sidewall height are both fairly inconsequential.
It will come down to what works better with the rest of the car most likely. If you are oversprung you'll want the extra width and sidewall compliance. ;)

no more kumho 710s in 245/35/18?

I am going to kill someone if that is so

The reason for the sizes is i'm using either kumho mx's or falken rt-615's to do triple duty on track/auto-x/street. My car is about a 100 to 150 lbs lighter than stock

That's what all the sources are saying. They're awaiting DOT certification. But that's self-certifying, so I don't know what the problem is.

There aren't any more and there aren't any more coming this year.

We're going to try the Hankooks or the S05's and hope there is a big red Kumho truck at Topeka loaded full of 245/35's.

Have the RT-615's been proven to handle heat better than the rt-215's? If not i'll just stick to MX's in 245/40 instead of 235/40

Yes, the 710's. I'll ask my tire sponsor if they can get you a set. I kinda doubt they will be able to if Kumho stopped production on them. If they can find another set then they are all yours, no finders fee needed ;)

Thanks, very much appreciated.

Only warning, if you do find a set my co-driver might give you a bearhug in Topeka. :stickoutt
