to put it in a few short words: WOW! AMAZING! AWESOME!

the bads: no tool box! the downward slope of the doors makes it difficult to reach the mirror controls (not that big of a deal), some very distinct 3 series things have been removed: center window controls, driver oriented dash.

the goods: The car is beautiful, and it is a great drive. The steering is tight, the suspension is willing, the engine begs for more. The shifter is precise, the seats grab you, and the experience is blissful.

In driving it is a GREAT improvement over the E46. It has become much sportier, and seems just as nimble and agile although being so so much bigger than the E46. It holds the road very well, and is a pure joy to drive. Everything is tighter, more refined, everything feels better. Its a glorious driving experience.

It might not be perfect, but it is close to. Sure, for the price I’d rather get an used E46 M3, but having a brand new, never molested, more reliable car for a daily is also a good suggestion.

Awesome. I think the GF and I will take one for a TD soon. I think our next car is going to be a used E46 M3 though....

i test drove one myself last sunday and i would have to agree that it is the best 3 ever made, performance/refinement wise. i would leave the looks of exterior/interior to others but i really loved the icey feeling inside. oh, exterior looks good, too.

I personally didn't like the e90 330i/6spd I drove....not enough road feel, doesn't feel fast enough...handles great and I absolutely loved the steering wheel...but it didn't "feel" right to me....my opinion though...I like the feedback of the e36, even the e46, but the e90 took too much out imho

yes they should. with-in 10 minutes of us Z32 guys looking thru the Z33, we found a 10mm wrench in the trunk (nissans love 10mm bolts, nuts, etc). we took the car, as much as we can, apart to look and inspected it. got to know the product to sell the product.

Did you drive the E90 330i with sport package or base? The sport package is really a great drive. I wish the E90 sport came with SMG, as originally planned dammit.to put it in a few short words: WOW! AMAZING! AWESOME!

my understanding is bmw no longer provides alimited slip on anything but M cars. Word is traction control is said to be superior

i had one as a loaner for about a week while my zhp was getting a new steering wheel, i could easily say that car can and will outhandle and out run a US spec E36 M3. I just wish they would've offered an LSD with them.

I just wish they would've offered an LSD with them. For sports driving LSD is superior to traction control b/c LSD simultaneously differentiates the left and right rears according to the arc of the curve being negotiated--and--applies power to BOTH left and right rears for superior power transfer from the motor to the drive wheels. LSD is outstanding especially in wet conditions. My understanding with open diffs is that power is NOT transferred to both rear drive wheels? What is BMW thinking--nonM car owners are not sports drivers?
