Guys,

I'm looking for 17x8.5 wheels with an E36 offset to use as track wheels.

Which means, I'm looking for wheels which are both light, and strong, and hopefully not outrageously expensive.

I know the SSR Comp's come in that size, but I'm less than impressed with the overall strength of these wheels.

I was looking at the Kosei, K1 Racing wheels from Tirerack, but they no longer seem to have any stock (or even a listing) in E36 fitments.

Any other sources for the K1 Racing? Any other suggestions on similar, lightweight, strong wheels for serious track use?

Thanks,

Pat

I've been using oem double-spokes, 8.5"x17" all four corners, but looking for a suitable replacement since cracking one of the double-spokes. BBS CH is 8.5"x17", not a real lightweight though. Isn't there an RC or RX fitment in 8.5"x17" too? I've also been considering the SSR Comp, the smaller sizes seem to be holding up better. I think it comes down to tire sidewall, get down to a 30 or 35 series and there simply isn't enough sidewall. K1's went out of production already I hear?

Post 'em if you find 'em, I'd be interested to know what else is available too.
