I will be recieving a used Autopower roll bar from a friend of mine that he used to have in his old 320i race car. It comes with all the hardware, and is in beautiful shape. Thought about putting it in the 323, but it doesn't fit the purpose of that car. Any interest? Don't know the price yet, but im willing to entertain any reasonable offers.

Cheers,
Jonas

Well, judging that it came out of my buddies old race car, im willing to bet that its the race bar. However, im not sure what options it has, but i'll find out asap for you all. Wont have pics till i pick it up most likely which might be as soon as this weekend, or mid next week.

K so here are the details straight from my buddies email to me:

"The rollbar is the race style and has the crossbrace and an additional brace behind the drivers seat, a SCCA requirement. It is SCCA legal, black in color and had a fire extinguisher mounted to it. It bolts thru the floor behind the front seats and to the rear fender wells. It was in a 78, 320i, ITB car."

So, sounds like your standard, race rollbar with the optional harness bar (hopefully, i'll clear that up). Doesn't sound like anything is removable, which in my opinion is better, but thats obviously up to your personal needs. Let me know, i'll work on getting some pics up asap.

That would be the same one as is in my car. Seems like a real nice unit, but if you're going full cage (6 pt) I understand that the dash has to be removed.

I just found out that this one doesn't have the integrated harness bar, but in all honesty, u can have one welded on very easily.
