I have an '88 e30 M3 that I bought and paid for about 2 years ago. Just got the pink slip for it due to the fact that there was a lean against the car when it was sold to me.

Anyway I bought the car with all suspension needing to be replaced because the previous owner had taken it 4 wheeling. Now that the car is registered in my name I am starting to fix it and put some money into it.

My question is will a regular E30 rear subframe be the same? OR are the M3 subframe different?

Thank you for you help.

They are different....but....only in the number of exhaust hangers on it. You could weld one on.

I will be selling my complete M3 suspension fairly soon (including rear subframe and trailing arms, rear calipers, front struts and calipers). I am putting in an M roadster rear end.
