i'm looking for some big tires to put on my E39 and right now i have some breyton inspirations in 18X8.5, i was wondering if i could fit 265/35/18 on there. TIA

Yes. It's on the low end of the width requirement but should work. A 9" would be more in the middle. But on a 5 Series that isn't going to be driven real hard, it will work. There's a nice calculator on the Yokohama site. Hang on.....
