so......what hotels are in the area that are decent, not looking for a motel 6 and I'm not looking for a Marriot either.

what is in the area to the DC Zoo (smithsonian) in terms of hotels. is the area gangster? I don't have a problem getting a place 30 minutes out and use that for an excuse to have other bimmerheads show up for shenanigans.

"honey, I have no idea where these other bimmer folk came from" :dunno :D

someone help me out here.

thanks,
Ron

there really isnt much in that area. Just the Zoo. The hotels around there are $ (Woodley Park, Cleveland Park).

Just hop on the Metro (the station isnt too far form the Zoo) and head into the city to see other sights.

I suppose that depends. The girlfriend and I might be able to tolerate your a$$ for a few days but after that all bets are off.

NW isn't a bad area by and large. Are you flying back and driving? Rental car or what? The further you get from the actual district the cheaper things are going to be for the most part.

Smithsonian isn't that close to the zoo. The Zoo is roughly halfway between the woodley park metro and the cleveland park metro (both on the red line). Your best bet would be a hotel in Bethesda and then hop on the metro. Shouldn't be tough to find one around there.

Also, don't forget to see the pandas while you're there.
