How are the Z4s in the long run. I am thinking about getting one. (cant decide between.. a 325i, or 330, a Z4, or a S2k) I am a youngin who cleans his car everyweek, and drives cars pretty hard. So i was wondering if i could drive this car for around 5years...

Some minor things, recall on fuel pump and an airbag sensor go out. Other than that, just normal maintenance...

I drive the hell out of my dad's and it's solid as can be. It's had no reliablity issues and the two recall notices weren't even important issues. Get the z4 and be happy.

Also a couple of minor problems.. the fuel pump and SMG controller recalls. Otherwise she has been a dream. I run her a little hard and also have been autoXing her. Just change the tires when you get it. Run Flats sux.

Had it since 2/04 - only one problem to report:

My top motor died on me. I believe there was some sort of leak in the hydralic line to raise / lower the top and it ended up burning out the motor. :evil2 Unfortunately for me it was in the down postion!

Rather than use the manual method of raising the top, fearing breaking it, I waited for a nice day and drove her in! :cool
