My wife's car (2000 323i) has the Business CD system and the sound quality is poor. It is so bad that even she notices it. I don't need any big thumping system, just some good quality sound with enough punch to play with the windows / sunroof open.

Do I need to replace the head unit? Will just speakers do? Any suggestions would be great.
