have a 1984 533i. I am taking the motor out of the car and using for a donor motor and notice that the block casting says 3.3 and the head says 3.5. Just wondering what type of info anyone would have on this. Just wondering about performance parts. It seem that there are many more parts available for the 535 vs. the 533. any info will help .

I have an 87 535is... Yes the intake says 3.3/3.5. They use all the same top end stuff for both the engines. My 535is pulls realllly hard for a 3.5. I really like it, also, they offer plenty of performance parts for the M30 (3.5) at bavauto.com.
