I just purchased a 05 325i (sedan) and was looking to upgrade the sound system.

This is what I had in mind; (I would love suggestions/comments)

- 2 12inch MTX Audio Thunder 5500 (subwoofers)
- MTX Audio AMP (not quite sure the model number, saw it at the store)
- Custom enclosure for trunk.

With that being said, what do you think? Also, if you don't like this setup what do you recommend?

I would get some new component speakers as well as subs. I also wouldnt get those mtx subs. Give us a budget and we can make some suggestions on amps and subs.

For the amplifer, subwoofers, and custom encloser I didn't want to go over 1200$ So, I would like to stay around 1000$

with that much money I'd personally buy a whole ed setup of nine.1 amp for the sub, a nine.2 for the front components, one 16ov.2 dual 4 ohm 15" sub, and the edi 6500 component speakers. All that stuff together is $1115 and you can probably get a discount if you look for the right coupon code on the website to save you a bit of money. I'm sure there are other suggestions of products you could use but I think that would be one awesome sq system that would get loud.
