I am acctually saving up for a genuine Hartge E21 Baur that was brought into the states a while back. It deffinatly needs it's cosmetics, but it has a perfect Hartge interior and perfect running genuine Hartge engine. Black on black. What would one of these fine examples run for? Also, how many E21 Hartge Baur's were produced? I'll try to get some pics soon.

All depends on condition as you know. What engine does it have?

Wow, sounds like a really rare car, get pics ASAP! It's funny, because I just thought about this recently, I wondered if there were ever an Alpina E21s that were sent to Baur Karroserie to be converted, but haven't heard of any.

Yes there was, I believe theres a picture on the Alpina forum, of not I can post it. There was conversions done on the C1's that were produced by the swiss and Uk Alpina dealers.

I normally don't like Baur's or convertables but that car looks amazing :buttrock Those are my favorite wheels of all time. I'd do bad things to have a set of wheels like that for my E21 and E30 :devillook

Its ridiculous what Alpina charges for parts. Hell you cant even find a used set for the price of an E21!!!

Sure you can you just have to know where to look. And as far as Alpina, its KSK that distributes the parts for Alpina to the USA, they own the sole rights to it, thank them for theor bastardizing prices. But after all we as enthusiast tend to set the prices for some parts.

Sounds like you have much animosity for them, no worries, different strokes for different folks

Actually I have been buying most of the alpina parts from Allbrecht, and I bought my wheels used but still had to pay a grand, which is about as much fo a decent used 320i. Ive gotten some parts off ebay as well, but it seems the anything worth anything gets run up big time.

Do you have a contact at Allbrecht? I'm interested in some Alpina parts. I just ordered a set of 18" staggered Alpinas from KSK for my e28 m5, man they were pricy.

So what about the pic's? Can't just bring up a car like that and not follow thru with pictures, that would be grounds for exaggeration
