View Full Version : name that ownage!
MaloventEvil 05-06-2005, 01:54 PM Situation. I was going to drive from santa cruz, ca to davis, ca to pick up my LSD... and was totally looking forward to it.... (this would be today from 2-5) well the front drivers side was making a clinking sounds, so i decided to lift it and be sure it was just sway bar links. totally wrong. the bolts underneath the shock tower (the 4 bolts) well 3 of them were disconnected.... i couldnt wiggle the shock back into place, so i have to disassemble the shock tower and move it back into place.... :rolleyes anyways, this could be viewed in two ways.... an excuse to mod, or just a general misfortune.... your call! what is it!

LJSE34 05-06-2005, 03:11 PM Repairs are definitely a good excuse to mod. My headlights are somewhat loose, broken clips and what not prolly... Solution: Get euro smileys and clear corners front and back, update the fogs while I'm at it. There's just no other way to do it :D

i need to break some stuff that has available aftermarket....fuel pumps and oil pumps are hard to upgrade. :(

I have the same way of thinking, if something breaks, I always try to get an aftermarket part.
MaloventEvil 05-06-2005, 04:41 PM so... that ownage just cost me 2k. Koni adjustables, H&R sports, and misc suspension components, and the LSD.

My Samco coolant hoses, Bilstein pss-9s, and UUC Stage II flywheel were all bought using this logic.

Speedfreak 05-07-2005, 08:36 AM Joking aside. Isn't it common sense to replace something with the best parts?
That feeling that your car is better than it was before the "mishap" is priceless?
Hows that for justification.
Dwayne 05-07-2005, 01:43 PM WHAT!!!!! You truley don't belong here. Why? He was agreeing with me.
