M3TurboCa 05-06-2005, 12:11 PM No, I don't think Vic can tune the stock dme.
I am sorry to say your only option is AA or Nick G.
Before you consider remote tuning you should have a wideband a/f with data logger to log hfm voltage with tps and boost so that the tuning can more accurate with faster corrections.
If you do not have a wide band it can be a slow process.
Maybe you can contact AA or Nick and see if they already have a similar setup that would only need minor revisions.
I think AA might have on file a setup with aftercooler you would have to contact and ask Karl or Barry.
slcook54 05-06-2005, 12:57 PM If you are in SoCal, I would first give Evosport a call and see if they can help you. Otherwise Nick G seems to be the majority choice here.
nicholas 05-06-2005, 01:36 PM Give Jeff @ Eurobahn a call. He may be able to put you in touch with someone that can help you. Where is your tuning at now? Has Osh done any tuning on your car? When (if) Osh tuned your car did it have all the parts you have on it now? Have you ever had the car on a dyno? Have you had any A/F monitoring done when (if) you dynoed the car.
Evosport might not be able to help you. They were never able to do any DME tuning on my car when I had it there, I had to take it to Osh.

Nicholas -
Where is your tuning at now? Was done at RMS.
Has Osh done any tuning on your car? Yes, he tuned my car.
When (if) Osh tuned your car did it have all the parts you have on it now? Yes, I had the kit installed at a friends shop in Westwood and then Osh did the tuning.
Have you ever had the car on a dyno? No.
Have you had any A/F monitoring done when (if) you dynoed the car. No.
Whats a good A/F to get since you all are saying I need one? Also does anybody have one which I can borrow for the tuning? Thanks.
Imperialduckm3 05-06-2005, 02:43 PM I know for sure, once I go FI. I'll give NickG a called :alright
I wish I could slap on his Turbo, but you know in the Republic of California, that ain't happening :( . Only choice would be Dinan...
And now Scott Andersen/AA coming out with the TS.. oh boy
M3TurboCa 05-06-2005, 03:13 PM Angel who is Scott Anderson :D I think you mean Steve Anderson. :)
Imperialduckm3 05-06-2005, 04:44 PM My bad :D :lol Steve, Scott, Henry, etc.. its the dude who's making the TS :stickoutt

BlownM3 05-06-2005, 06:12 PM Just wondering what is wrong with the way the car is running?

Just curious.. does youre tuning problem have anything at all to do with a hunting idle, and bucking/surging at low part throttle?
ADVANT123 05-06-2005, 07:40 PM Paul, I have these symptoms on my M50 manifold, do you have a solution?

:D
I see you havent been following the history on this symptom, found always in cars with RMS setup Stage II SC car featuring Euro HFMS!!!!
For the fix, contact Nick G at Technique Tuning.. Hes the man with the fix for this nasty constellation of symptoms. Be happy.. Youre not far from being Smooothed Out :redspot
Whooops.. my apology.. I thought you were the thread author, answering my question about the nature of the problem he wrote about.. I didnt realize you were speaking about an unrelated problem... Unless you have teh above equipment, ie, stage II rms setup with euro hfm, forget what im saying... it wont apply to you.

PourkyM3 05-07-2005, 05:55 AM Whats the problem with the current sw?
Just have a feeling it's not tuned right.
BlownM3 05-07-2005, 03:18 PM Just have a feeling it's not tuned right.
Has it been dyoned. Do you have any afr's?
PourkyM3 05-07-2005, 03:32 PM I was going to go when they had that dyno meet in L.A, but unfortunately my car was in the shop. So no AFR and Dyno runsyet, but hopefully soon.
Soup Nazi 06-02-2005, 03:45 PM Hey Pourky, contact Chris (951) 245-2537, at DanZio Performance ( http://danzioperformance.com ), tell him Rick sent you.
He has built a few custom turbos for M3's that put around 400-500rwhp, I'm pretty sure he can help you out with the tuning atleast.
carcrazed4life 06-02-2005, 04:07 PM Have you followed my posts about my tunes ?!?
I'm at ICS now and it seems to be much better. Check my figures in my profile.
Captain 06-02-2005, 04:19 PM I've got my 328 with these mods:
JC Shark Injector, Ecis CAI, ASC Delete, Dinan BBTB, M50 Manifold Kit, Fan Delete, UUC UDP, and S52 M3 Exhaust (soon to upgrade), S52 Cams and cam software are on the way to be installed next weekend. And if it matters, an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
I have just purchased a supercharger kit from a member but i will need software/tuning.
I am in San Jose, ca and i would prefer not to be without the ride for too long. What is the process on getting software/tuning for my ride?
NickG? AA? Do i ship my ecu...drive my un tuned car somewhere...
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Just have a feeling it's not tuned right.
I used AA wihout problems.
I just dont understand how you know the car is not tuned right. You have no idea what you afr's or HP is, so how do you know. CEL? Is the car idling and running like crap? If you have specific symptoms, it may not be the tuning.

Yea, we did not have the ability then, now we do. We def. had some growing pains with Nicolas' car, but what you don't die from you can learn from (and we try to do just that).
Let me know if we can help.
Thanks,
Brad
