OK, after encountering some serious obstacles in getting my own car apart and back together (some admittedly self-inflicted)... I'm coming home from work last night in the jeep and, long story short, "coolant expulsion" occurred.

car is sitting at pickerings waiting for tear-apart.

on the good news end of things... the diff is in, the axles are up, the rotors and pad carrier brackets are on (the rear), and if I can figure out the caliper dust boots I will be sitting pretty.

just need to add diff fluid, chase threads on one bolt hole, get the rear calipers and lines installed, rear swaybar, gas tank, exhaust, then the front brakes.

might look like a lot, but in truth the caliper dust boots and re-installing the gas tank are the only things that are real "obstacles" the rest is just assembly time.

that sucks... of course, you didn't need me to tell you that... ;)

At least the coolant didn't spray you in the face and torso like on of my friends resulting in a trip to the emergency room and lots of burns.

have a few brake lines to finish, three calipers, one sway-bar. one gas tank, and one diff bolt (long story, requires trip to hardware store because me=idiot).

then bleed the brakes and clean out the cobwebs.

This is actually coming along pretty quickly for one of your projects! If you are planning on working tonight, I might have some time to help on some of the 2-man stuff.

the biggest difference with this is that I can ALWAYS do out for 20-30 minutes and accomplish something, knock it off the list. THAT is what makes this so much better.

Its not so much been a lack of ability or huge roadblocks, but just a lack of time on this, but I've still managed to do SOMETHING everyday (except friday). and its always something measurable.

I'll be home tonight, and will be working on the car. we should be able to get it pretty close if you have an hour or two, badeer.

He's very, very close to being done. All that remains is re-installing the fuel tank and putting the wheels back on. The brakes should be a nice upgrade....at least they look darn good. :)
