I think what you're really asking is how do people afford these incredibly expensive cars. I have wondered this myself. A surprising number of owners of really hawt cars that post here (the people, not the cars) are in college and even high school. I started with an old vw bug and a monthly car/parts budget and worked my way up. It works nicely for me I have been doing them since high school im 23 on my 2nd bmw both were brand new. I definetly reccomend the field, You dont have to have a college degree and you usually make alot more then people with degrees. I know guys that make 35-40 grand a month even before the refi boom. I guess there are a couple pcars and e46 m3's now, but most of our cars are worth less than a new chevy cavalier or dodge neon. but to answer the original question, i'm an electrical engineer in the USAF...you can look up how much i make on line. We estimate Commercial Construction Projects when they are still in the design stage, help with budgeting and dispute resolution between owners and Contractors... 1) I am part owner, soon to be full owner. 2) I ALWAYS work more than 40hrs a week. If I wanted, I could easily dial back our work load and drive a cheaper car...but I am a financial whore and refuse. I am working part time down here for a locksmith company its a prety nice gig. I sit at home untill my phone rings then go unlock some home or car. And get paid 1/2 of what ever the price was. (40-100 a call). I get alot of free time to study with this job and hours are very flexable.
