My E23 started making funny noises, i poped the hood and found that it was the cruise controll unit, its making loud mechanical poping noises. Anyway its not really a big deal except that its annoying and i dont want it to start engaging the cruise at random (when it makes the noise it shakes the cable pretty hard) I was going to pull out the relay / fuse to it but upon further investigation, the fuse is shared w/ the brake lights so that will not work. I can not find a wire conector to unplug it either and i havent tried to open up the unit but i assume that it is hard wired in. Any Ideas for disconnecting the power to it until i get around to buying another one?
