well, just got an estimate of $4,000 to re-build the front left suspension and for a new hood and fender. OUTCH. the place i got the car from said that if i ever need anything done thye would give me a discount. I just talked to a guy there and he said that he would easly get it done for cheaper then that (he said he could re-build the whole suspension for that, not just 1/4 of it). anyways, im woundering if someone like me who hasn't had alot of car work expeirence could do it. I have alot of tools becuase of my step dad's work (he is a wood worker, but he also has done work on his own cars and stuff). would i need anythnig else tools whise other then a spring compressor from auto zone?

would it be worth doing myself? would it be worth fixing at all or could i get decent money for an old volvo or somthing from parting it out the way it is? anyone in the area willing to work for cheap or have cheap parts?
