Hey all,
me and Hien are headed down to N.M. to see my parents on Thursday. My dad had a major stroke 1.5 years ago and has been in a care facility since. He lost the use of his left side. He had almost past away a couple of times and now seems to be on a big comeback. He will be 80 on the 14th of the month. Since mothers day is this weekend and my mother is also feeling the negative effects of age, we are going to take YLOJAKT and speed..I mean drive, down to see them for the weekend. We will be south of Albuquerque in the armpit of NM. A place called "Los Lunas". Anyway, just in case you guys meet or something...save me some pics!

My wife is from Los Alamos, we drive down a couple times a year.
(i havent driven my M yet)
Her parents work at "the Lab" and her brother lives in ABQ
Which route do you take? I-15 to I-70, or price canynon on the 6 to 70, then through moab, etc...
Beautiful drive when the weather is nice.
Best, to your family Dane. I hope they are well.

Thanks Matt,
we go the Price route. It cuts about 1.5 or so hours off the trip. Yeah, I can't wait to get the Z3 into the twisties up there. Even with the "extended" presence of law enforcement in that canyon, I should be able to raise my heart rate a little... This will be the first road trip for YLOJAKT too. I hope it stays clear. :evil2

Glad to hear your parents are doing OK.

That can be a nice drive. I love to take 44 from Farmington to Alb but watch out for the reservation smokies and the small town speed limits. Some friends and I went went there same-day-same-way formation and 3 of 5 made an involuntary donation to the local law enforcement community.
