Allright guys, It's back! Summerblaze 2005 should be the biggest of them all. No meet has evolved more than this one in the past few years...He have had around 75cars the past couple years but this year we should have well over 100!! :redspot

What: Summerblaze 2005
When: Aug13th, 2005 10:30am-4pm
Where: Race Rock, Orlando Florida, conveniently located off of I-4

There will be vendors there, magazines, raffles, dealerships and various giveaways...We are trying to get other events like a mobile dyno or something like that if it can be worked out...

Mark your calendars guys, it's going to be a blast. I will update this main thread as we get more and more confirmation from vendors.

There is plenty of time so get your car's ready! No excuses to not be at the best State-wide BMW Meet EVER!!

UPDATE: Here are the some flyers...

I have the flyer in small, medium, and large, in both black and white, and color, so just ask...

I guess ideally you can print out some the gray ones, and hand them to people you know...I print them out and keep them in my car in case i see a hot ride or come across and enthusiast...

You can print out the large color ones and hand them to dealers or local speed shops to get exposure...Its also sometimes a good idea to take a stack of the B&W ones and leave under the color "poster" style flyer so people can take them!

Mauricio helped me out, but i was the founder for the most part...the even has evolved greatly...

First it was DTM Winterblaze, originating at DTM Power, then it was BayBimmers Winterblaze, then we had a Summerblaze that was kind of weak...

Winterblaze this year was skipped, do to the let go at BayBimmers, and now we are having a HUGE Summerblaze...

I have talked to Mauricio and he is helpin out some. He is great on the PR side...

I was there both years.... there were about 6-8 e30s in the Winterblaze '04. Now that I look at the pics and see how much my car has changed.... it's amazing.

As for me, is a front end a requirement? I've been to lazy to fix my front end and suspension and brakes are more important to me than a front end. :rolleyes

looking forward to it. that meet is a kind of incentive I need to finaly start working on my custom door panels and trunk setup (well, maybe in july)

Well i have an idea...I am going to come up with a t-shirt design if all of you are interested...The shirt will be similar to the logo but at the bottom will also have some sponsors...

Across the front will have Summerblaze 2005 across the chest with aug 13th-race rock- orlando, fl in smaller type underneath...

The sponsors will help alleviate the cost of the dyno as well as the costs of the shirts...

If you guys are down for a dyno(at say 15 a pull) and shirts (at around 10 a peice) let me know!

I apologize about that but we werent expecting so many mini's, and that was before we moved to the other side of the restraunt...

That will not be the case this year...

I mean obviously there is so much room for so many cars in the given area, but we should have room for 100 cars...

If 30 mini's show up together and they want to stay together, then they will prob have their own area again...It is first come first serve...

Are there different areas for the different models to gather or does the parking lot just fill up as people arrive with no particular order?

The sign up is pretty much just a head count so we can seee what to expect. You can also just show up.

As far as parking there is no set parking, just park as you arrive.

I dont think icemann has the flyers yet.

Deffinately plan to make it out ;)

Depends how we should break this up. I'm pretty sure I can find a sutable meeting spot for the S. Fla crowd. See if you can gather up the Miami crowd and meet up with the S. Fla crowd. That way we can all go up as one and it won't be complicated for others that just show up.

Normal meeting place is the rest stop just north of the Pompano Beach Toll Plaza... it's a neutral location for most coming from S.Florida (it's actually "the long way" for people like me, but it's the best location) cause they serve breakfast.

$hit with the way things are going here, I'm starting to have a hard time organizing anything. I've got the MC scheduled to have Randy's reinforcement kit installed, sub-frame bushings, Euro EVO 6-speed tranny, shortened drive shaft, trailing-arm bushings,custom SSK for the EVO 6MT, sways, have to finish off the trailer hitch, make a custome trailer, I mean the list goes on and on. Not to mention the parts list that I have to make, to give to BMW for assorited BMW BS, bolts, Z4 turn signals, BMW roundles. All I keep seeing is two months before HC, and not enough time to get everything done before hand.

To simply put it, I've bitten off more than I can chew. FK I can't even take an evening off, for a night at the track. All I want to do is take another week off from work, get some more things done. That won't happen, boss won't let me take time off only after a month since my last time off.

Allright guys, since we are so close...Here are the some flyers...

I have the flyer in small, medium, and large, in both black and white, and color, so just ask...

i guess ideally you can print out some the gray ones, and hand them to people you know...I print them out and keep them in my car in case i see a hot ride or come across and enthusiast...

You can print out the large color ones and hand them to dealers or local speed shops to get exposure...Its also sometimes a good idea to take a stack of the B&W ones and leave under the color "poster" style flyer so people can take them!

It's the same thing as the previous two years. Race Rock is aware we are going there and we have our own spot to chill. Cops will not hassle us. Also remember, your conduct reflects if there'll ever be any other events.

Now once you leave that parking lot, you're on your own.

There will be raffles and give aways courtesy of Umnitza...And there will also be awards given to different catagories sponsored by UUC....

There will be other products given away and also some installation demos for different products...

last year about 90 came and alot of the people didnt even sign up, this year we expect 100+, ~30+ cars just from the orlando area are expected to show up.

European car was also nice enough to donate magazines for the show :buttrock

the orlando crew is gonna meet up at starbucks on 50 at 9 am.

Tampa crew is meeting up at bradon mall......should be about 20 of us. :buttrock

A group of us from Jacksonville will also be doing a caravan down as well !This kind of reminds me of a bimmerfest florida in a way if we had one I mean :alright

Myself and about 4 other MINIs are cruising over from Cocoa area. Once we are parked at the show, are we entitled to stay till 4 or can we leave at 2 or 3 if we have to? I'm planning on staying till the end but I think a couple of us might have to go earlier.

Jacksonville is meeting at the Avenues Mall at 9AM.

You can leave whenever you want, however it will be a great time and hopefully you dont want to leave...

Funny you metioned that. I was thinking the same thing. I have a buddy of mine that's going to join us from Down Shift Magazine, Down Shift is a small local publication. He's trying to arrange to get some model to join us and do some quick photo shoots. As of right now he's planning on meeting up with the Tampa crew at the Brandon Mall and take some shots on the way to Orlando...

We have done it in the past and we had about 50 people pull over on I4 to wait for others and get in a line. It was very stupid and dangerous, and not to mention, illegal...

The traffic in orlando is allready hefty so i am not going to start that aspect of the meet. As the event grows over time, we will incorporate something like this...

You 100% correct on the stupid and dangerous part. But I wouldn't arrange it on I4. I would suggest 50. I tend to think that would be a safer and more senic area.

but its only a matter of time till someone who drives an orange 02 that will remain nameless will start doing donuts at intersections and cutting in and out of traffic.

Kevlar is coming up from Miami and highly doubt he will be arriving alone and he is a moderator on BFC too so you might want to drop him a PM and set something up,funny too he also has a similar e46M !

Its prolly too late now but it would be insane if we could get a helicopter to get some great shots from up above but I guess it's too late for such an idea or maybe not if someone has some ideas or connections ? Drop me a PM if anyone can help with the heli idea.
