Well... you could look at it as BMW trying to give the customer what they want. They obvously had to take notice to all the customer buying CF lips from ACS. Plus not to mention all the CSL type front lips and splitters... They must realize that people want this stuff.

I think it's excellent that they offer it as an option on the car... now I can only hope that it's functional instead of just aestetic...

Also...You get a factory installed component that will have factory paint, OE fitment, and can be replaced by Ins Company with little hassle if it should break...because it is a factory component of the car.
