Hey all, first time post. It feels like the transmission in my '94 540ia likes to shake slightly btwn 1300 - 2200 rpm, in any gear, either running cold or hot. I don't believe it's the control arms; the symptoms show even when taking corners in that rpm range. Could I be mis-diagnosing the problem (i.e. maybe suspension after all)? Thanks for any input!

Manual or Automatic?
Does the shifting mechanisim shake or is the car stuttering?

It's an auto.....the shifter operates fine, the car itself vibrates slightly btwn those rpm ranges. Also noticed when starting cold in the morning a noise comes from the rear of the car, sounds like a low intermittent sloshing sound. Sound goes away after the car warms up. One more thing, the car will vibrate at times while stopped at a red light (hate those things :mad ), then go away. Been doing more research, could it be possibly be the driveshaft support or some bearings back there?
