I was reading that these are great for the M3, and do not require changing shocks. I enjoy the ride stock but I just need to remove the 4x4 when the 19's come in.

Anybody have any comments about these or maybe even pics :redspot

H&R does not make OE Sport springs for the E46 M3.

I personally had the Eibach kit installed on mine and the car sits well with 20" wheel settup. The ride is not noticeably different then stock. I was told the the H&R settup would require new shocks.

as would I :confused

but MMS also has standard sport springs on there site too, I dont think they would advertise a false product

i just am more concerned about installing the spring with stock suspension. I love the way the car handles now, and I dont want that tight of a ride like my old M coupe ( bilstein, coilovers )

If H&R claims that they don't exist and Tire Rack doesn't list them, why would you think that MMS has some exclusive product? The OE Sport springs are defintely available for E36 M3s and lots of other cars, just not the E46 M3.

Regardless the OE Sport springs typically have just as high of a spring rate as the standard H&R Sport springs, so they'll also eat stock shock, albeit not as quickly due to the working range being closer to stock. If you want a fairly soft, but lower ride, I'd go with Eibachs or UUC springs combined with Koni sport shocks. You could run either spring set with stock shocks for a while, but their lifespan will defintely be shortened and you'll end up duplicating your labor down the road.

thanks for the help. Im getting 19 inch CSL's put on next week when they come in and I am trying to pre plan for extra wheel gap. I think I will look into the koni. I was just afraid of that stock shock goin out on me quick.

Listen deal with my shop. Victor at MMSTUNING is great but I can get whatever you want... Call Tim at 1 954 984 8040. Company is called HORSEPOWER SALES. H&R I belive makes makes an oem spring, but they do for a fact make springs that drop the e46 m3 1.2 front and .7 rear. Have them on my e46 m3 for years now and on my 01 330ci S/C both for over 50,000 miles on oem shocks. Dont listen to others b/c they feel they need to be the big dogs and waste money on shocks it is not needed...
