Just got my BMW 320i 1992 Auto

a warning light has appeared on the dash its an exclamation mark in the middle of a cog do you know what it means or even better do you know of a web site that explains all the dash lights

That light is auto trans related.Probably the transmission control module,not sure though......but it is definitely a transmission light
