I'm currently narrowing my decision on some used M3s....would like some input. Help sway me one way or the other, b/c right now, I'm on the fence...

2003 AW/Black - NAV, Premium, cold weather, 6 Spd. 24k miles, smoking deal on a CPO.

2002 Steel grey/Imola - NAV, Premium, cold, 6 spd. 37K miles, priced lower obviously...and may come down more. CPO as well.

I'm not too keen on the higher mileage of the 2002, but 37K isn't terrible....

I'm stuck on the color issue right now. Silver gray would be my first choice, but AW was always a favorite of mine...but i really wanted it on Cinnamon. :dunno

Any compelling arguments for one or the other....? White or grey? :help

Depends on the price diff. If it is not huge go w/ the newer one. Although the Steel Grey/Imola is an awesome combo.

Both sound great but I'd of course go for the newer one as long as the price difference isn't huge.

No offense to any other colors, but I too wanted gray when I started looking. I then considered black, white, or silver. Now having the gray....I'm glad I didn't get any other color...it's really sweet. And while you don't see many M3's, you rarely see a gray one......

Sent you a PM with info. :)

Both cars are nice, can't go wrong with either IMO. Pick the one that "feels right" to you and you will be fine.

I have a steel grey one also, and while I see usully 4-5 silver and black ones a day where I live... I'll only see the same color I have maybe once a week or so

SG is nice, but i vote for the AW. I also would love an AW/Cinn, but they are very hard to come by. Imola could be a hard interior to deal with on a daily basis also.

Heh... Well, the car is not in my possession yet, so I didn't want to jinx anything. Deposits have been made though, so it's a matter of a few days, getting insurance in order and coordinating with the buyer of my car as well.

Anyways, just a little about it... ;)

2003 Alpine White on Black, 25K miles, CPO
6 Speed
NAV
Premium
Cold Weather
Xenons
HK
Brushed Aluminum Trim
ACS Roof Spoiler
SSK (brand still TBD)

I don't want to jinx you either, but I will say 'grats and I hope everything goes smoothly for you.

Btw dump the 18"s asap, imo AW looks good with any 19" wheel (except chrome). :buttrock

SWEET! You, me, and jake1sir have all been going through this about the same time, with the same year/color/mile debate, and it looks like we're finishing up black, white, and gray....all with great cars.

I ordered the UUC Motorwerks kit, should have it installed in a week or so, so I'll give you the low down on performance, feel, etc..

I opted to include the DSSR, which has not yet arrived, and it all came in a little under $500 :nutz:

If your get their SSK, get them to throw in a clutch stop, should help the whole experience a little...

So lets tally my cost for the past 8 days....

Clear bra $400
UUC SSK $500
Passport X50 $300
XM parts & Install $280

I think I'd better start pacing myself.......
