has anyone tried that seafoam stuff or has any useful info on it? its talked about quite a lot in other cars forums so im wondering if you guys knew anything cuz bimmers are the best cars in the world and deserve only the best :D I understand that it goes in the air filter, the fuel tank and in the oil cap. sounds a bit risky to me but give me any info you have. thanks

I used it on both the e30 and e34. Seems to do it's job - car seems to run quite a bit smoother if it's never had any heavier treatment yet. If you do it right it'll condition the seals pretty well - not sure it's a huge deal while using synthetic oils though. It doesn't go in the air filter - you pull a vacuume line, pour seafoam into a container, put vacuume line in container to suck up sea foam - turn on car and let it run for about 5 - 10 seconds max (it'll stall so make sure you keep your foot on the gas...

Then wait about 5 or 10 minutes, restart, and enjoy the smoke!!!! I filled half of my block with smoke with the 325is...hehe. Go for a drive, push it to redline a few times, and you probably WILL notice it idles smoother.

You can get it from napa for like 5 or 6 bucks. It's cheap and I've only heard good things about it.

I almost did the procedure.
We had a big discussion on bimmer.info about it. and I decided that I would not use it. I gave it to a friend.

Any vacuum lines work. Located somewhere near -- but infront -- of the TB. It doesn't matter which one, they're all sucking towards the same place -- your engine.

The smoke he was talking about it your car burning that stuff off after you start it back up. There's no way it'll burn off like normal gas - so it'll burn off as if you had a giant hole in your headgasket and pour out some hefty smoke. It's nothing bad though.

they power your power breaks. They also controll the emissions and on many turbo cars they control the wastegate and BOV
