on a 1997 E39 that didnt come with Xenons. i want the feature that automaticly dips the lights down and adjusts it. can some one explain to me how they are controled? i think i herd something about 2 wheelbase sensors. 1 in each front wheelwell.
pain in the dick.
not only do you need sensors in the rear suspension but a module (read: running harness and wires all over the place) to control the headlight by reading the input from the rear suspension.
cost does not outweight the benefits... not at all.
NOW there is a "manual" way which is a switch next to the fog which adds a motor to your headlights so you can adjust it manually. what do i know about this? very little. i'm waiting for the guy to do the install and a write up.
