Just shot with the in-car cam this weekend.

RMR Friday, Dover Sautday.

Cut a -.001 light at RMR. Once again as close to perfect as you can get and still sucking. Story of my life. :confused

Nice. Camera mount works well. You are short a few cars though. :rolleyes

Aren't you supposed to knock over those cones at the outside of the corners?

There were some wild rides in that rainy afternoon session. One car spun out and was headed right for us at station two, I froze, couldn't decide which way to run. I'm glad you guys dried off the track.

I almost got run over by the blue vette. Picking up a cone and look up to see it charging down on me.

Yikes.

Looks like a bunch of fun! I can't believe you cut a light by .001.

We had a blast. Once you get new family stuff a bit more settled down you have to come out.

I'm still bummed on the -.001 light. In thousands of runs I've never cut a perfect light, but I've false started by a .001 of a second 3 times now.

What are the odds of that happening! :confused

I plan on going to RMR to check it out. Maybe next month or so... :cool

Street legal races are every second Friday I think, Cone killing seems to run about twice a month too.

So, what was your best time & trap?
I have to admit, I'd be curious to see what my car could do, with this altitude and all...

The 3 is a bit of a slug still. Even with the gears I can't get it off the line. Torque convertor is to just to tight.

I was running low 16s / high 15s at 90 mph. That MPH with a decent 60 should be a 14 second ET but just not enough torque to get it off the line.

My old FWD auto Talon would do 2.1s on 225 drag radials. A RWD with 255 street rubber like I have should be able to do 1.9s at least and the best I was getting 2.4s. A tenth on the 60 is almost always 2 tenths in the 1/4 so a stick car with the same mods as me should be able to run high 14s here.

RMR has an NHRA correction factor of 4400 ft or .9458 so my 16.0 average would be a about a 15.1 at sea level. 5 speed with same power that can lauch should be able to do high 13s low 14s.

If I wasn't going to put a twin screw in I'd have the stall raised on the convertor and that would drop almost a full second off my times I'd bet.

I was planning on filming the first day in car, and then pulling it off the mount and shooting Makr etc. the second day.

It rained, we went home.

Offical results were posted. 19 cars in SM. Makr was 11th and Gandalf was 12th. Also note that Makr did not run the afternoon course which was faster for pretty much everyone even in the wet.
